ALL TRAILS ARE CLOSED UNTIL AT LEAST MID-DAY DUE TO EXTENSIVE ICY CONDITIONS. The track is frozen and deeply rutted from yesterday’s skiers. Holding out for warm afternoon to smooth the trails and some snow for the weekend. No trails are groomed this morning and we will await permission from Park City officials before we can smooth out the trails mid-day. We will update our report on our website as needed. No walking, dogs, running, cycling, driving or trespassing on the trails. If you need to take a physical and/or mental therapy break we’re here for you every day. It is a great day to drop off your skis for a refreshing hot wax spa day before the weekend snow. It’s a beautiful sunrise so grab Joy where you can, save the trails, be safe and be kind. Thank you for being part of our amazing family and reading previews of our May trail reports. Grab your mug, your light jacket and come shop in the store! All nordic poles, high performance waxes and kids clothes in the shop are on sale now!
Back to freezing nights! We groomed a 2 km segment around the Stadium, up the Cabin Loop and Hollow. Fun, fast crushed granular!
Solitude Nordic
All trails groomed for skate and classic. 26° at 8am, high of 39° and windy. Snow could get slow this afternoon if we get some warm flurries, but for now it’s another great ski morning in the mountains.
Soldier Hollow
We are continuing to hold on! We groomed the north stadium and up the hollow. Other snowmaking trails are covered, but please be alert to melt hazards. We look forward to the temperatures dropping to below freezing hopefully by midnight tonight and patching ourselves back together!
White Pine
Late April weather. It’s breezy with a chance of showers. We touched up the 3km and Armstrong yesterday and the skiing turned out quite nice for the conditions. A hint of wet snow on the surface this morning is a nice touch. Please classic ski for another day or so to keep the track from being rutted with deep skate cuts. Holding out for cooler weather and some snow for the weekend. No other trails are groomed today as it is too soft to put equipment on the snow. All trail surfaces are mixed snow, slush and areas with water. There are a few icy patches in low areas from the melting surface. There are areas that are getting thin so ski with care and awareness. We will groom as soon as we see some colder temperatures. The 3km and Armstrong are open for skiing today with good depth and the conditions described above. We have closed the Farm and recommend caution on the 5km.
Classic skiing will require well waxed skin skis or fish scales. Skate double pole is an option early if you’re well waxed and have some wet structure on your skis. You’ll glide best on yellow wax. Grip wax will be nearly impossible today, classic skin skis will grip and glide best. The dog loop is melting out. The Farm is CLOSED and is a fee area for skiing. No walking, dogs, running, cycling, driving or trespassing on the trails. A good universal liquid or paste wax on your fish scale classic skis (tip to tail) is always a great way to keep them from sticking as the snow changes during the day. If you need to take a physical and/or mental therapy break we’re here for you every day. Drop off your skis for a refreshing hot wax spa day. Please purchase AND display your trail pass to access our trails. Ski with care, share the trails, ski safe and be kind. Thank you for being part of our amazing family and reading previews of our April trail reports after 6 days of 24 hour thaw. Grab your gear, your light jacket, snug up your laces and come shop in the store! All nordic poles and kids clothes in the shop are on sale. Get in while they last!
Today is a day for classic spring skiing with the continuing warm temperatures and mixed icy and soft surfaces. We do not recommend skating, any deep ruts will hasten snow melt and may freeze overnight into an unskiable surface. We are in snow maintenance mode for a few days to preserve our base until it cools down again. Ski smart and save the trails!
Solitude Nordic
If you wanna ski, this is the place to be.
All trails groomed for skate and classic and skiing great this morning. 32° at 8am, high of 37° and windy.
Spruces
Weekend storm cycle underperformed and warm weather has turned the snow into slop (dare I say cosmic slop). We did our best to get everything in The Spruces Loops and Jordan Pines with our single track and roller, but the ginzugroomer still isn’t fully functional and would have likely not been used today anyways, so no classic set. The next few days should be very nice, if not unseasonably warm. Sushi Scale: Spring Roll.
Jeremy Ranch
Good Morning!!
The spring like temps and south winds have remained at Jeremy Ranch. Unfortunately, we are going to have to suspend our Nordic operations for the time being. Trail conditions are deteriorating quickly and it is not safe to ski on any of our trails at this time. Water pooling, ice and grass coming through on various parts of the trails are our concerns. There is some snow in the forecast for Friday and Saturday. We will reassess the conditions at that time to see if trails can be reopened.
Thank you for your understanding and continue with those snow dances!! Feel free to reach out to the Nordic/Golf Shop with any questions. We will keep you all updated as soon as we have any information.
Have a great day!!

Soldier Hollow
We are canceling our Grand Tour Race this Saturday due to the relentless thaw. We did groom 3 loops today on our snowmaking ribbon so come ski!

Late April weather. We have gone from some of the best skiing ever on buttery smooth surfaces to a drippy slushy surface in less than a week. Continued extremely warm day and night temperatures mean we have suspended grooming again today. All trail surfaces are mixed slush, ice and areas with water. There are icy patches in low areas from the melting surface. There are areas that are getting thin so ski with care and awareness. We will groom as soon as we see some colder temperatures. and we may be back to shoveling some areas soon to maintain full continuity.
The 3km will be open for skiing today with shallow depth and the conditions described above. We have closed the Farm and recommend extreme caution on the 5km. Classic skiing will require well waxed skin skis or fish scales. Skating is an option early if you’re well waxed and have some wet structure on your skis. You’ll glide best on yellow wax. Grip wax will be nearly impossible today, classic skin skis will grip and glide best. The dog loop is melting out. The Farm is CLOSED and is a fee area for skiing. Good Morning,
Spring is still here in the mountains!! It is currently 53 degrees and temps should remain mild most of the day with clouds upon us. We were unable to groom again this morning due to soft snow conditions. The skate lanes are ok but will remain soft going forward. The classic lanes are holding but have not been set in a couple of days. Weather remains warm through Friday with some much needed snow arriving closer to the weekend. Please check back with us daily for any updates on trail conditions.
Season passes, 10-punch ski passes and a great selection of Nordic merchandise are readily available. Come on in, warm up and have a look around!!
Have a great week!!

Fairview
Fairview trails were last groomed Wednesday 1/29. They provided good skating for another couple days (through Friday). However, the current springlike weather and ridiculously warm temperatures are wreaking havoc on coverage. Clearly no grooming will be practical until further notice. It is going to take a major snow event to jump- start the operation. Hopefully it is not too late in the winter for this to happen.
Soldier Hollow
Yikes, this is a unkind thaw. We are lucky to have our snowmaking ribbon to allow skiing. We will probably not groom until the temperatures go back below freezing. Think cold thoughts!
White Pine
April weather? The snow bunnies are definitely in beach bunny mode this week.
