Last night we smoothed out the skate course from huge efforts of the junior parent shovel brigade (new acronym: JPSB) and set classic where we could with mixed results. Bottom line is that coverage is quite good on most of course and will allow for a great skate race and moonlight ski Saturday!! Main, Mitten, Lower to Cullens, Lollipop, Creek, Boomerang, and Park Avenue all groomed. Spring conditions so skiing should be quite good once it softens up a bit mid-morning. Enjoy!!

Mountain Dell will be CLOSED TO ALL SKIERS starting at 6 P. M. Friday to allow us to prep the course for Saturday’s Wasatch Citizens Series 10K Skate race. We will open for general public skiing around noon Saturday. Come join in on low-key citizens’ racing on a fun, easy course!

Conditions will be good this morning but are likely to soften during the day, There was a light rain falling in the morning. Hopefully the precipitation in the high mountains comes our way as snow later this morning and through the afternoon. We have cold evenings and warm afternoons forecasted this week so come early to get the snow while it’s firm!

White Pine

A bit more wet snow fell this morning but it seems to be over and clearing. Maybe an inch. These wet and warm conditions make for very difficult grooming so we’ll be packing and rolling and leaving yesterday afternoon’s classic track in. It’s a warmish winter/spring morning. The wet snow overnight will make for soft trails but not a lot of speed early. Great snow and conditions for classic. Skate may be sticky and soft again today. Conditions may change during the day as the temperatures warm. All trails are open and groomed. The 3k and 5k will be ready first, the Dog Loop, Farm and Armstrong were rolled yesterday afternoon and we won’t mess them up by regrouping in the wet and soft surface.

Red wax and structure for kick and glide today with the wet snow and warming temperatures during the day. Please continue to be aware, be careful and ski within your abilities.

Please drive safely, walk with care in your ski boots and ski with great Joy! Purchase your pass and wear it please. PLEASE ride the bus, micro transit, carpool, skateboard, cycle, e-bike or walk if you can. Parking is available all around the hotel and underground but everything you can do to reduce single driver trips and park smart helps! Come play in the snow, greet your fellow skiers and have another beautiful and Joyful spring ski day!
