Spruces was groomed Saturday afternoon for skate and classic. Conditions remain good in the canyon despite Mother Nature’s lack of help. Keep an eye out for the moose and give em some distance.

Mountain Dell

We got a trace of snow Thursday night. I groomed the trails late this afternoon, including renovating and setting a new classic track. It should ski better than the last several days. Skating should be excellent. Enjoy!

Spruces

Groomed Spruces for skate and classic, and groomed Jordan Pines as well. Absolutely great conditions today. We have a mother and baby moose on the trail, please give them lots of space. If you see them on a loop, best thing to do is turn around and ski a different loop. They need lots of space, please respect them!

White Pine

Just a little fresh snow overnight to make things all pretty again. All trails groomed and open today with a chance of a few more snowflakes. Skiing should be great with the firm track underneath and a little fresh on top. Remember to wear your mask at all times indoors at the Nordic Center (and everywhere else for that matter). Lets be safe and healthy for each other.

If you are attending the WCS race tomorrow, please carpool, get dropped off, walk, ski in from the Farm or use transit.
Free public transit is a great option for attending any Race at White Pine Touring Nordic Center. Park City staff and Police will be helping with parking and anyone parked illegally or blocking a roadway or driveway will be ticketed and towed.

You can park at one of three Park and Rides (Jeremy Ranch, Ecker Hill, and Kimball Junction Transit Center). All three Park and Rides are serviced by the 101 Line from High Valley Transit (See Link to 101 schedule). The 101 route is an express route which stays on SR 224 all the way into town, and will drop you off right in front of the Nordic Center/Hotel Park City along 224.

Additionally the “Electric Express” (10 White) runs from the Kimball Junction Transit Center and will drop off riders at the Park Ave. Condos/Fresh Market (.4 miles away from the Nordic Center).

I know this is a repeat, but if we want to continue to be able to have public events for our youth and ourselves at White Pine Touring we need to do our best to be good neighbors.

White Pine

Cold and a little foggy this morning. Is there a weather change coming? While the spring skiing in January has been very good, maybe a little fresh would be nice. Repeated conditions with all trails groomed and open for your skiing pleasure. Please purchase and display your trail pass and remember to wear your required mask when indoors.

Plan your transportation now for the WCS race on Saturday! Carpool, walk, ski in from the farm, ride the bus, park legally and safely, do not block streets or driveways, White Pine Touring is a locally owned and operated business that has been serving you for 50 years! Parking and traffic pressures have been high all year and we’d like to keep having the ability to hold events for residents and visitors. Do your part please.

Good morning, Sanpete! This morning the skate lane was buffed out. I am still experimenting with the best way to do this on hard pack, so be patient. Skating should be good. The classic track “is what it is.” Some of it ok, other stretches show signs of wear and have deteriorated. More snow expected Friday so let’s hope a few more inches will jump start both skate and classic skiing. I will be gone Saturday morning so grooming may not happen until late Saturday or Sunday. Thanks for your patience.
