We have been waiting for approval from officials in City Hall to access the dog loop and the Farm since Friday. The two trails will not be groomed or open until we receive approval from City Hall/City Manager. When we get the word, we’ll prepare a plan to get out and reopen and groom your trails. ~02/16/25 07:28 am

Holiday Special – All full ski packages (skis, bindings, boots and poles) are 20% off through the weekend. Get in and gear up now!

We are expecting a bit more snow later today! That will give us almost 12 inches this past week. We’ll be grooming the full 5k loop, the 3k and Armstrong this morning. We are treating it gently due to snow depth in a few areas and to help protect the golf course turf. Conditions will be a little soft on the 5k but excellent and skiing very well on the 3k and Armstrong. Skiing should be creamy and quite good today. It looks like we’ll be rewarded with great skiing all week. Temperatures will be below and around freezing all day mean that it will be blue/violet for kick and blue/violet for glide. Skiing will be a bit sticky if your skis are not waxed well. The surface will be firming and speeding up through the day before the storm arrives.

Please pay attention to where you are going out there. Be aware of icy patches under the snow and walk with care in your ski boots. We are working together with Park City to make your community resource as wonderful as we can year-round. The store and service shop are OPEN all day. We can wax your skis and upgrade your gear as needed. No walking, dogs, running, cycling, driving or trespassing on the trails. If you need to take a physical and/or mental therapy getaway or a media break we’re here for you every day. It will be a great afternoon to drop off your skis for an invigorating wax massage treatment after your spin on the trails. Tug on your good gloves and go play in the snow. Enjoy a steamy mug before you head out, seek your Joy outdoors, glide through the curves, float the hills, be safe and be kind. Thank you for being part of our amazing ski community and reading another long form, free verse trail report. Go for a ski and then drop in the store to say hi. All nordic poles, high performance waxes and kids clothes in the shop are on sale now! It looks like the snow bunnies are back! See you on the trails!

Groomed the following for skate Saturday night: Main, Mitten, Park Bypass, Lollipop, Boomerang and Wiggle. Classic was only reset on Main due to the thin base. Things should firm up tonight, ski with caution due to thin conditions….enjoy!

Love the Valentine’s box of white sweets! Finally enough snow. Classic set and skate groomed to the first switchback. Thin down low in the usual suspects area and soft, of course.

Good morning, Fairview picked up a bit more snow last night. Plus it is colder today so the snow seems to be lighter and a great addition to yesterday’s base. All trails groomed this morning and the scene looks wintery and inviting. Skating should be excellent and there is a classic track now set as well. Classic track could not be set to full depth due to coverage not yet more than a few inches but we’ll take it! If you ski classic, monitor the tracks since they may penetrate close to the grass.

Good Morning!!

We are back open!!

We have received enough snow to reopen the lower trail for skate only. We weren’t able to set the classic track today as the wind keeps filling in what was groomed. The snow conditions are very soft from overnight snow and will continue to fall throughout the day. The upper trail is still closed for the rest of the day. The snow conditions were too soft and windblown to set the trail.

Feel free to reach out to the Nordic/Golf Shop with any questions. We will keep you all updated as soon as we have any information.

Have a great weekend!!

MORE SNOW!!! We received another 3-4 inches overnight and this morning. We’ll be grooming a shortened 5k-ish loop and the 3k and Armstrong this morning. We have temporarily shortened the 5k to about 3 k to help build snow depth in a few areas and protect the golf course turf. We’re anticipating having the entire loop open tomorrow. We are snowcat grooming the 3km trail and Armstrong this morning Conditions will be a little soft on the 5k-ish but excellent and skiing well on the 3k and Armstrong. Skiing should be creamy and quite good today. Conditions were quite thin prior to this storm. Patience to allow the trails to build up will be rewarded with great skiing this week. Temperatures will be below freezing all day mean that it will be blue for kick and blue/violet for glide. Skiing will be a bit sticky if your skis are not waxed well. The surface will be firming through the day as some of the moisture dissipates. Please pay attention to where you are going out there. Be aware of icy patches under the snow and walk with care in your ski boots. We are working together with Park City to make your community resource as wonderful as we can year-round. The store and service shop are OPEN and select items and ski packages are on sale! We can wax your skis and upgrade your gear as needed.

Thank you for being part of our amazing ski community and reading another lengthy and snowy trail report. Grab your warm gloves, your beanie, go for a ski and then drop in the store to say hi. Come ski Mountain Dell today! But give us a minute. Parley’s is a zoo, slowing the arrival of Steve and Mike, this morning’s crew. They are finding about five inches of fairly dense snow, so it will take some sledpacking work before they groom . By 10 A.M. Saturday we hope to have Main, Mitten, Bypass and Lollipop groomed for Skate and Classic. We hope to open more track Sunday.

Snowed at Spruces overnight. Packed and rolled all of the Upper and Lower Spruces trails and dragged Jordan Pines. More snow on the way.

Fairview

Happy Valentine’s Day, skiers. I would say Fairview did not garner the depth of snow (7-`10″) that had been predicted earlier in the week but the Thursday storm was a lovely steady delivery of powder. Sadly, temperatures have risen quickly since so the 4-5″ have settled significantly and the snow is now wet.
On the golf course, the trails have been resurrected with a complete packing of the lower and upper loops after two weeks of thaw and then no new snow. Coverage is good but remember, we are starting over, so there are some places where weeds protrude or whatever is underneath the track is exposed slightly. Most of the track looks good and the hope is the base from today’s packing will freeze hard and serve us for whatever is left of winter. Currently, the base could be skated on but there is no classic track set. We are getting some light precip as we speak but is it rain? or sleet? Another inch or two of real snow would be ideal.
I will do the best i can this weekend but a heads-up that I am scheduled to fly out to the Birkie Tuesday and will be gone the rest of the week so it’s safe to say no grooming will take place in that window.

Soldier Hollow

We received about 15″ of snow in the last 24 hours. Most of our trail system was freshly groomed this morning and the skiing should be excellent! https://utaholympiclegacy.org/grooming-report-ski-conditions/
