Another warm Spring Day before tomorrow’s storm! Sunshine and blue sky one more time. SPF 30+ today. A repeat of yesterday, but even warmer in the afternoon. Great snow and conditions for classic and skate today. Crumbly on top and firmly packed skate surface. The classic tracks will be spicy/icy until mid morning due to the cold overnight temperatures. Conditions will soften significantly during the day as the temperatures warm. Sun exposed areas will change from hard to soft quickly mid-morning. Ski with awareness. All 22km of trails are open and groomed. The 3k and 5k will be ready first, the Dog Loop, Farm and Armstrong will be groomed next. Blue wax early then Red wax and structure from mid-morning. Yellow late this afternoon? Maybe.
Be aware of icy sidewalks and use the handrails on the stairs. Please drive safely, walk with care in your ski boots and ski with Joy! Purchase your pass and wear it please. Continue to be aware, be careful and ski within your abilities. PLEASE ride the bus, micro transit, carpool, skateboard, cycle, e-bike or walk if you can. Parking is available all around the hotel and underground but everything you can do to reduce single driver trips and park smart helps!
Come play in the sunshine, greet your fellow skiers, visit the bunnies and have another gorgeous and Joy filled ski day! ~02/25/24 07:03 am

The classic lanes are in good shape but the crew will come out this afternoon to reset the classic as it was difficult to set this morning with the firm snow. Conditions will start out firm this morning but will soften up quickly as the temperatures rise. Tracks are in good shape so it’s a great time to come ski The Jeremy Nordic Trails!

Groomed to Big Mountain Pass Friday evening for skate and classic. The rain saturated snow that had been through a number of freeze-thaw cycles resulted in a rather poor result below the restroom. The classic was ill-defined and chunky. There are ruts and chunks in the skate lane. Not so bad to be “a basket of deplorables”, but a marketing person might call it “rustic.” Get to the restroom and it’s all betta’ to the pass. With the hard freeze tonight, it will be hard and fast early. There will be a snowshoe race starting 9:30 a.m. going to the restroom and back. Get there before it starts if you want to avoid a damaged trail. Happy weekend!

Last night we smoothed out the skate course from huge efforts of the junior parent shovel brigade (new acronym: JPSB) and set classic where we could with mixed results. Bottom line is that coverage is quite good on most of course and will allow for a great skate race and moonlight ski Saturday!! Main, Mitten, Lower to Cullens, Lollipop, Creek, Boomerang, and Park Avenue all groomed. Spring conditions so skiing should be quite good once it softens up a bit mid-morning. Enjoy!!

Mountain Dell will be CLOSED TO ALL SKIERS starting at 6 P. M. Friday to allow us to prep the course for Saturday’s Wasatch Citizens Series 10K Skate race. We will open for general public skiing around noon Saturday. Come join in on low-key citizens’ racing on a fun, easy course!
