You’ll glide best with blue wax and iron-in cold powder again today. Grip wax will be blue today. The dog loop is open and running happily through the field (cover up those paws again today). The Farm is a fee area for skiing. No walking, dogs, running, cycling or trespassing on the trails. Park in the new Meadows Drive trailhead lot or better yet, ski the entire loop from the Nordic Center. Classic skiing will be very good today and skate will be a little slow to start it you’re not waxed, and quite good as the day goes on. A good universal liquid or paste wax on your fish scale classic skis (tip to tail) is always a good idea. Skin skis are an exceptional no-fuss classic option if hard wax isn’t your jam.

It was below zero overnight again and we should make it close to 25F degrees by afternoon under a bright blue sky. It took 7 hours of grooming time yesterday to clean up from the wind storm Tuesday night. Mark and Kurt had to clear hundreds of branches and knock down some serious drifts on the Farm and Dog Loop.
