White Pine

Happy Spring! Another fresh layer of snow overnight, snow early, snow later in the day. About 6 inches of fresh the last two days on top of a firm track should make for great classic ski conditions all day. All trails are deep, groomed and open. Blue/Red/Violet wax today given the moisture in the snow. Skating will be soft and slow early, classic tracks are set. Should be a great day for playing in the snow! It will be sticky if your skis aren’t waxed.

WCS Season awards are available at the White Pine Touring Nordic Center. Come and pick yours up. The season participation mug will also be available beginning Friday.

The Park CIty Council will be voting tonight to approve or deny our request to stay open through April 9th. Stay tuned or tune in to the meeting. We are on the consent agenda and are hoping it will go well for you and for us. If we do not receive approval we will be closing April 1 as specified in our concession contract with Park City Municipal Corporation.

Thursday groom will happen in the morning around 6AM. Thus far we know there is wet snow falling, the temperature will drop below freezing and we may end up trying to groom an ice rink… I would not go up tomorrow until some additional information is available. Sleep in, say yes to the extra Latte, three cheers for a great season and the best crew on the planet.

Good morning,

The Upper and Lower tracks have been groomed for skate and are in good shape. We did not set new classic. We received about 2 inches of new snow. Conditions are a little softer and skiing should be good. Come on out and enjoy the trails. More snow is on the way!

Have a great day!

Good Morning
All of the Mt, Dell loops, except World Cup, were groomed for Skate this morning. The existing classic tracks were in good to fair condition and coated with about an inch of new wet snow. Classic tracks exist on all loop except Lower below Cullen’s and World Cup, and should ski in nicely. At 6am the air temperature was 40 degrees, by 9am it had cooled to 36 degrees and was starting to snow. Conditions should be good all day. Enjoy

We will be on the course at 6am tomorrow morning and should have Mitten, Main, Lollipop, Boomerang, Wiggle and Kid’s Cut-Off groomed by 9am. If time allows other loops will be groomed. This report will be updated mid-morning tomorrow.

Arrived at the shop at 6:00am to 3+” of new snow. Groomed all loops except the Lower below Cullen’s and World Cup for skate and classic. Conditions will be soft, but one could not ask for a more beautiful spring day in the Wasatch. Suns out! Come up and get your slide on before the next storm rolls in and covers it all up once again. Enjoy!

As of 9am the core trails near the stadium used for the race courses and up to the lodge (1/4 to 1/3 of the system) groomed last night and have about a centimeter of snow sitting on top. The rest of the trail system could have various kinds of adventures waiting depending on how much snow fell yesterday, how wet it got, how much skier traffic there was, and those same things happening again today. There is still more snow here than I have ever seen excepting perhaps a week or two ago. More snow coming tonight and tomorrow!

White Pine

Happy Spring! Or more like winter for a few days. Temperatures were fairly cold overnight. About 5 inches of fresh yesterday and overnight on top of a firm track should make for great ski conditions all day. Some wind drifting after the big storm front yesterday, but we’re grooming it down. All trails are deep, groomed and open. Red or Violet wax today. Skating will be very good, classic tracks are set. Should be a great day for playing in the snow! It will be sticky if your skis aren’t waxed.

The Park City Council will be determining our closing date on Thursday night at their regular meeting. We have asked to stay open through April 9th to take best advantage of the snow conditions and the holiday weekend. If they do not approve our request, we will be closing March 31st as required by the conditions of our contract with Park City.

Mountain Dell

Good Morning Skiers,

The Upper and Lower tracks have been groomed for skate and are in good shape. The classic lane was not reset due to frozen snow conditions but lanes are holding. Snow conditions are icy and firm this morning and may not soften up much with the colder temps. With a snowy week on tap, hopefully conditions will soften up. Enjoy the fast conditions this morning. Snow throughout the day may cause accumulation as the day goes on.

Have a good day!
