Most trails groomed for skate and classic. Pleasantly surprised by 2″ of new snow, so the trails are really nice today!
No new grooming on Cornucopia, Evergreen, Bypass, or Camp Loop. Early season conditions exist: rocks, sticks, uneven terrain.
31° at 8:15, high of 39° today.

The rain was not our friend yesterday, HOWEVER, More spring skiing conditions on tap. It didn’t freeze hard last night so not crusty this morning as we feared. The track is grooming up quite well again. A cloudy but joy-filled ski day! The holiday season is here so let’s be kind and patient out there.

We are open 9-5 daily with 10km of good skiing. Watch for thinning spots. Moderate, rising temperatures today after another warm night. Skating and Classic will great early through early afternoon. Red or purple wax conditions all day. Potential for yellow wax late afternoon…. The forecast says it will get well above freezing in the afternoon. Late day skiing will be soft but it stayed pretty good yesterday despite the rainy part of the day. Remember to ride the bus, micro transit, carpool or walk if you can. Parking is available all around the hotel and underground but everything you can do to reduce single driver trips helps!

We’ve groomed the 3k, 5k and Armstrong for skating and classic. The dog loop is not as open-ish and the conditions are not improving on that loop. THE FARM IS CLOSED FOR NOW. Give the gift of glide this holiday season. Wax cards and all of the waxes from basic to super fast are in the shop. Go play in the snow, spread the Joy! The shop is open so come pick up your pass and check out all the amazing new gear and clothing. Give the gift of a lesson!

Thank your groomers. They are making the sweetest lemonade out of the bag of lemons the weather has given us.

No new grooming to report. Grooming at this time might make conditions less favorable.

Skated to the 1St switchback today. Skating was OK. Imagine above that would be similar.
Classic looked to be holding up well.
Light rain for a while but stopped quickly.

A few minutes of walking and a few minutes of cautious skiing gets to good coverage.

Let’s hope for some snow!!!!

Good Morning,

We are open! We groomed for both classic and skate on our 1.1k loop on the lower track. Skate is still good, but classic lanes are a little spotty in some areas!

Day passes are only $5!!

Have a great day!

Upon further inspection the snow may be too saturated to recommend skiing today. The groomer asks that you avoid skiing if you leave deep ruts so our one working snowcat does not have to work too hard to clean up deep ruts. Apparently further devotion to the snow bringing force of your choice is warranted.

If the thin vulnerable natural snowpack getting rained on has you down, never fear, manmade is here! 2k of groomed manmade can take this taste of Seattle and you can get your skiing fix. You can test out those hard shell layers, too. Please avoid the natural snow; the upper hollow should survive but skiing on it now won’t do it any favors.

Most trails groomed this morning for skate and classic. Look out for “early season conditions” in some places, including sticks, rocks, and uneven surfaces. No new grooming on Cornucopia, Evergreen, Cabin Loop, or Bypass. Best skiing will be on the Lake loop and in the Redman loops.
32° at 8:15, high of 40° today.

More spring conditions but not crusty this morning. The track is grooming up quite well. A partly cloudy but joy-filled ski day! The holiday season is here so let’s be kind and patient. We are open 9-5 daily with 10km of very good skiing. Moderate, rising temperatures today after a warm night. Skating and Classic will great early through mid afternoon. Red or purple wax conditions all day. The forecast says it will get well above freezing in the afternoon. Late day skiing might be a bit soft but it stayed delightfully fast yesterday despite sun most of the day. Remember to ride the bus, micro transit, carpool or walk if you can. Parking is available all around the hotel and underground but everything you can do to reduce single driver trips helps! We’ve groomed the 3k, 5k and Armstrong for skating and classic. The dog loop is not as open-ish. The Farm is NOT open yet. We have been doing some maintenance out there to prepare for the next storm. Give the gift of glide this holiday season. Wax cards and all of the waxes from basic to super fast are in the shop. If your skis are slow it’s definitely time to wax. Go play in the snow, spread the Joy! The shop is open so come pick up your pass and check out all the amazing new gear and clothing.

It definitely thank your groomer time. We have been shoveling every day to keep the thin spots covered as well as we can. Remember to bring this old HF and LF waxes in to the recycling bin and get a discount on non- PFC replacement waxes! Let’s do our part to keep the drinking water clean!

The Wasatch Citizens Series race scheduled for Soldier Hollow for this Saturday has been rescheduled to January 20th. The WCS race at the Farm on January 6th is still planned to happen. Do a snow dance!

Good morning!

We are open!! Both classic and skate lanes have been groomed on our 1.1k loop on the lower track. With the warmer temperatures it gets a little tight in some areas, so be aware when skiing with other people on the track! That being said it is a great day to ski!

Have a Great Day

Another song lyric can sum up the continued weather “meet the new boss; same as the old boss.” Lows around 20 highs in the upper 30s to mid 40s; repeat. Looks like there could be a weak storm just to attempt to change things up tomorrow afternoon into wednesday. Fabulous classic skiing on impeccable manmade snow (up to 2k and this should grow with the cold nights); and creamier but still lovely skiing in the afternoon since the low sun angles are not making the snow slushy. 4k of tolerable natural snow if you are careful (before noon please).

More incredible spring conditions. A partly sunny and joy-filled ski day! The holiday season is here so let’s use kind and patient words out there on the roads and the trails. We are open 9-5 daily with 10km of very good skiing. Moderate, rising temperatures today after another cold night. Skating will great early. Classic will better a bit later in the morning. Red or purple wax conditions all day. The forecast says it will get well above freezing in the afternoon. Late day skiing might be a bit soft but it stayed delightfully fast and firm yesterday despite sun most of the day. Remember to ride the bus, micro transit, carpool or walk if you can. Parking is available all around the hotel and underground but everything you can do to reduce single driver trips helps! We’ve groomed the 3k, 5k and Armstrong for skating and classic. The dog loop is not as open-ish.

The Farm Trail is not open. Do not attempt to ski. Numerous dangerous and unmarked conditions. We did some maintenance to knock the air out of the first layer in preparation for the upcoming storms. The Farm Trail is closed. Just to remind you. The Farm Trail is CLOSED until we get more snow and get it groomed. Patience will be rewarded. Impatience will make it more difficult to open.

We were able to groom for skate this morning and the classic lane is set. Be cautious skiing the classic as there may be a couple bare spots. The rest of the trails are still not open at this time due to lack of snow coverage. We please ask that you stay on the groomed trails and refrain from skiing on ungroomed trails for your safety.

Day passes are only $5!!

All of our merchandise has arrived for the season and season passes are now available in the Nordic Golf Shop.
